Fear of the Media?

Is the White House scared of the conservative media? Are they scared of conservatives in general?

In many speeches, Obama has put all the blames on Republicans or various conservative journalists. Why the blame game? Is he that afraid of what the media can do? First it was Rush Limbaugh, then it was Glenn Beck. Then after the Shirley Sherrod ordeal, where supposedly she stated she was fired or asked to resign because of Glenn Beck having her story. Was the White House so scared that she was fired before knowing the entire contents of her speech?

Hopefully the fear is a good thing and keeps the government in check, knowing that the people, including the media are in charge, as this is supposed to be a government for the people, by the people.
